Rancho Viejo is about 2 minutes away from the Alpine exit off of the 280 freeway, on the same road as the Portola Valley Training Center, and about 5 minutes away from the southeast corner of the Stanford University campus. This barn is a hour's drive from San Francisco, 30 minutes from San Jose, and under 15 minutes from Woodside, Palo Alto, Los Altos, Menlo Park and Sunnyale. The facility is private, not public, so please don’t just “drop by.” We prefer that you call to arrange an appointment to see the place.
We have stalls and stall-paddocks. Most of our stalls are 12' x 12', stall-paddocks are about double that size. All stalls are generously bedded in wood shavings and have automatic waters. Stalls are cleaned every day except Sundays. We feed alfalfa-oat hay cubes twice a day. We have various arenas, some of which have lights and one of which is covered, as well as a round pen and over 200 acres of trails. Prices start at $875/month, as of September, 2017. (Prices are subject to change without notice.)
We also have pasture boarding, but our pasture is for lay-ups and retirees only. You cannot ride your horse or use the barn's facilities if you have a horse in pasture.
